24 Festive Christmas Designs printed on one side of non-perforated paper
Wonderful Christmas Coloring Book for Adults
By: Happy Coloring
Rating: 5 of 5
This is a really fun and festive Christmas coloring book. It includes many elements I expect to find in a Christmas book: Christmas trees, stockings, ornaments, snowflakes and poinsettia. However, it does not include a Santa or a snowman, so if you are looking for either of those, you will not find them in this book.
What was cute and different was the designer used owls rather than cardinals or partridges in a couple of her designs. As I love to color owls, it works great for me. While a few of the designs have intricate and small elements, for the most part, the designs are open and should be easy and fun to color. This is my second book by artist Stefania Miro and, while this is very different from her first Fantasy Forest, I like it equally well.
The designs are printed on one side of thin white paper which is typical of those published by CreateSpace. The pages are not perforated but the artist has left ample room to cut a page out if you choose to do so. The binding is glued rather than sewn, so you can have it cut off if you wish to have sheets rather than a book. I really appreciate that the artist has drawn a frame around each of the designs to give an ending point for the colorist rather than stopping mid-element or carrying the design on to the end of the page. This saves me time and ink and gives a more finished look to my final work.
All of my markers and gel pens bleed through this paper and coloring pencils work well with it. As the backside of the page is blank, I can use a heavyweight paper or chipboard beneath my working page to keep ink from leaking through. Chipboard can be purchased at an office supply store or on-line fairly inexpensively. I can reuse it many times over, so that is becoming my standard blotter sheet.
I was provided a free sample of the coloring book for test and review purposes
