40 Wonderful Alice in Wonderland design pages – printed one side of page

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland

By: Forest Diver; Published by Storytroll

Rating: 5 of 5

I own a lot of Alice in Wonderland coloring books. It seems to be a mini obsession amongst the larger coloring one that takes up room in my house and in my head. I don’t know what it is about Alice, but I pretty much buy them when I see them (except for the gory ones because that isn’t my cup of tea.)

So, I have so many to choose from. For me, this newest one is one of the best ones yet. It is an interpretation by artist Forest Diver. This is my second coloring book by this artist (who publishes under Storytroll/Julia Rivers imprint) but it will not be my last.

I appreciate his design take in general and, for me, it translates into a wonderful and slightly more modern looking land for Alice to explore.

The designs are detailed and in some cases have some intricate areas to color. That you get 40 completely unique images in this book and at the price it is makes it an outstanding value as far as I am concerned.

25 x 2 each Designs of female Angels – printed one side of the page

Angels

By: Jade Summer

Rating: 5 of 5

This is a lovely book of female Angel designs. There are 25 different designs but you are given 2 copies of each to total 50 coloring pages. The angels are posed against backgrounds rather than a simple figure. Some are full face and others are in profile. The dress is quite different with some in traditional long gowns and others in slightly more revealing two piece dresses or sleeveless gowns.

The designs are quite detailed and will take hours to finish. They are not what I consider intricate as the elements to color do not require special small nib pens/markers. I am able to use a wide variety of coloring medium on these designs.

While you can have access to .PDFs when you purchase this book, my review is based on the book as it is received from Amazon. That way you will know what the pages look like and how they accept color. I like that the publisher provides the digital version as well so you can choose the paper you wish to use and/or to color the pictures as many times as you choose.

Another great adaption of a Hallmark movie to a book

A Dash of Love

By: Liz Isaacson

Rating: 4 of 5

I watch many Hallmark movies as they are both wholesome and leave you with a good feeling. In transitioning these movies to books, Hallmark is providing a great reading selection for those who want a love story with a clean story line.

When I read romances, I prefer this format. This book follows the format of the screenplay of the movie but branches out into the thoughts and feelings of the characters. When get to see into the minds of several of the characters as the POV changes quite often.

The story is about a young woman, Nikki, who is trying to establish herself as a chef but who lacks the culinary school credentials to be hired by the formal restaurants in her town. She does get hired to assist a very well-known chef and celebrity but only as an administrative assistant. There is also a hunky and sweet chef named Paul who is intrigued more and more by Nikki.
