I received a free sample of this coloring book gift set which was provided for test and review purposes.

We are a family who enjoys coloring books. That goes from the eldest to the youngest. I had never seen this brand of book before and was very happy to let my grandson and some neighborhood children test it out (both with the do-a-dot paints and with regular crayons. The books were really fun for them – there is one about the ocean and mermaids, one about princesses, one about the world around us (essentially a wide variety of designs), and finally one that is educational (ABCs, numbers, shapes, etc.) It’s a nice set that includes two books which will generally appeal to girls and two books which will be more gender neutral. It might have been nice to include a book that appealed more to boys specifically (like the pirate book) rather than two for girls but perhaps I can find some that are sold separately.

The pages of the book are nice and thick and keep the paint from making a mess by seeping through. The pages are perforated, so it is really easy to remove a page from the book for the child to color one at a time.
