These Three Words

thesethreewordsHolly Jacobs is an author whose books never fail to touch me. One of her recent ones “Carry Her Heart” had a profound effect upon me and I still think about it every few days. In “These Three Words”, Ms. Jacobs once again writes about a subject that evokes a strong response. In this book, she discusses how a couple can fall in love, get married, seemingly have everything working well for the future, and then, fall apart at the seams.

Addie and Gray fell into deep friendship when they met in kindegarden and then by college, discovered they were made for one another. When life gets in the way and they each head their own direction, fate steps in with a sudden and extremely serious illness.

Addie spends much of her time in the waiting room of a hospital and in her soon to be ex-husband’s hospital room. She re-lives their life together through her memories and finds that her recent actions have not been based on the fullness of the time she and Gray have spent together. She learns, through her memories and by listening to the life stories of others, that it might be time to re-think their future.

It was also a pleasure to have a few of the characters from “Carry Her Heart” stop by in the book an also to have the promise of a new book based on those individuals in the future.

I received a digital ARC copy of this book from the publisher, Montlake Romance , via Netgalley.
