Good group of basic and quick to stitch patterns reprinted from 2005

24-Hour Crochet Projects

By: Rita Weiss

Rating: 4 of 5

24crochetThis is a book of crochet patterns which is re-printed as-is from the original publication of the book in 2005. While a very few of the designs are a tad dated, the majority are great as quick to crochet projects for anyone from a beginner crocheter to one who is more advanced.

I have been crocheting for many years and I still am able to find patterns that I would be happy to both make and wear. The instructions are well-written and the projects have great photos of the finished items.

At the back of the book, there are visual illustrations of stitches, a glossary of terms, explanations of various other items, including thread crochet, and for the international crocheter, there is a key that helps translate US crochet terminology to the international crochet terms.

The only issue I have with this book and is the reason why I give it a four star rating is that most of the yarns listed in the book are no longer in production. Thankfully, the author included the size and style of the yarn as well so you can translate it into yarns that you can purchase today.

I was provided a temporary digital advance reader copy of this book by the publisher, Dover Publications, via Netgalley.
