Ashley Bell: A Novel
By: Dean Koontz
Rating: 4 of 5
This is the first Dean Koontz novel I have read in a very long time. It was interestingly written but in some ways a tad confusing for me. The characters jumped around a bit and I was never quite sure of where I was in the story.
I liked the characters and, in the end, the book was pulled together well. I just could not quite place the genre that well. It starts off as a mystery/suspense book but ends up in fantasy/supernatural.
I don’t want to give away any of the plot and to discuss what happens does pretty much that. I will say that it surprised me and kept me reading. I would certainly be happy to read other books by this author in the future.
I was provided a digital advance reader copy of this book by the publisher, Bantam, via Netgalley.
