This is a very imaginative and lovely coloring book with 25 hand-drawn designs of animals and plants you would find in a forest. Of course, not any forest but rather a magical one where they all live in harmony and many of the animals are covered in flower motifs that make coloring them so much fun. The designs include a bear, rabbits, squirrels, a few insects, birds, trees, flowers and much more.

The book is printed on one side of the page. The paper is the typical thin white paper that CreateSpace uses in its publications and is not perforated. The book is glue bound rather than sewn. Many of the designs merge into the bound edge but none of the essential elements of the design are effected. With a little strength, I was able to bend and break the spine enough to get the page to lay flat again similar to other books by this publisher. While I would prefer perforated paper and designs that end before the bound edge, as I can get the page flat, it isn’t too much of a problem for me.

My markers and gel pens all leak through this paper and my coloring pencils work well on the surface. As the back of each design is blank, I can put an extra page of heavyweight paper, chipboard, freezer paper or similar to keep the seeping ink from ruining the next design.

I received a free sample copy of this coloring book for test and review purposes.
