No Way Home (A Zoe Chambers Mystery) (Volume 5)
By: Great new mystery in series
Rating: 5 of 5
In “No Way Home”, Zoe Chambers ventures far from home and travels to New Mexico. She is on the trail of her best friend’s missing teenage son, Logan. Logan has gone missing after a murder and he’s been pegged as a possible suspect.
Back home in Pennsylvania, Zoe’s boyfriend and Chief of Police, Pete Adams, is on the trail of a drug dealer whose mix of products has resulted in the deaths of some young people. Pete is torn between the work he has to do locally and his worry about Zoe.
The action alternates between the two locations, each building to their climax endings. Zoe proves herself really intrepid and resourceful in protecting both herself and the ones she cares about. Pete and Zoe are able to tie the pieces of the story together for an ending that was surprising and satisfying.
I’ve only read two books in this series but I am definitely hooked. The books stand alone well but I plan to go back and read the earlier books so I can understand the characters. I also appreciate that the books I have read hinted at plot lines of the earlier books without giving too much away.
I was provided a digital advance reader copy of this book by the publisher via Netgalley.
