This is the latest entry in the Giulia Driscoll mystery series. Giulia is a former nun now turned private investigator. In this book, this series makes a left turn into a somewhat paranormal adventure. There is still a mystery to solve but other forces are added in as you go along.
The ending was a bit of a surprise to me though I think it is possible it could be figured out. It was interesting as was the book though I must admit some of the jokes and humorous situations in the book went over my head. I suspect it may be because I have read only two books in the series and, in addition to the books from this publisher, there seems to have been a number of early books involving some of the characters which were published under a different imprint.
I was able to pick up the gist of the story but I would recommend reading the books in order if you wish to have the most insight into the characters and their backgrounds.
