Oddly not very mysterious in an otherwise great series

Room For Doubt (A Carol Childs Mystery Book 4)

roomfordoubtThis is the fourth book in the Carol Childs series. I have read and enjoyed all of them but this book seems a little off compared to the others. It didn’t offer enough by way of mystery and instead seemed focused on providing a vigilante type of justice system for some.

I was definitely troubled by the ending of the book as much with the end in general as with Carol’s part in it. While the focus of the book is on women’s issues, it could as easily been any other group involved. Taking the law into your own hands, as defined in this book, is still a crime and should be punished.

I hope that ensuing books in the series get back on track with great whodunnits rather than espousing issues.

I was provided a digital advance reader copy of this book by the publisher via Netgalley.
