Winnie-the-Pooh: A Colouring Book

I am a huge Disney fan but when it comes to Winnie-the-Pooh, my heart belongs to the classic version. I was thrilled to find a coloring book (English publication) that has images from the classic Pooh versions of the book.

The designs are lovely and so much fun to color. All of my favorite characters are well represented. There is a very heavy use of black in the book but apart from being careful not to use my pencils on it, I don’t mind it at all.

The designs are open and fairly easy to color. If you want to add elements, most designs have open space for you to do so. I think this is a great book for a pre-teen child (maybe eight an up) to color as well as an adult. If a child younger is good at coloring, they may well enjoy the book, too.

At the time that I am writing this review, you can order this book directly from Book Depository or from a third-party seller on Amazon.

This is what I found in this coloring book

There are 96 pages of Classic Winnie-thePooh designs included in the book (includes title and presentation pages et al.)

The designs are printed on both sides of the page

Paper is the white, heavy weight, slightly smooth and non-perforated.

Sewn Binding

The designs merge into the binding

Alcohol-based markers bleed through the page. If you use this media, I suggest using a blotter page under your working page. I like card stock as it keeps ink from seeping through and damaging the pages below.

Water-based markers, gel pens and India ink pens l do not bleed through or leave shadows of color on the back of the page.

Coloring pencils work okay with this book. I am able to get good pigment (color) lay down, and can layer the same color and multiple colors. Where it falls a little short is in blending. As the paper is slightly smooth, there is very little tooth to it. I found that a liquid blender worker better than a blending stick.
