30 Forest inspired coloring designs – printed one side of the page

In the Forest

This is a cute forest inspired coloring book. It is the first Color & Frame book I have purchased, to I didn’t realize that many of their books (including this one) are part of three in one sets. The price of those books are double what I paid, so effectively, you can buy two and get three but it is their choice not yours. I am happy with what I bought but you may want to check for yourself.

The book is filled with animals and flowers and other plant life. The designs range from easy to mildly detailed. While there is a touch of zentangle in some of the designs, for the most part, the animals are presented more realistically than with lots of little designs on their hides, feathers, etc.

This is what I found in this coloring book

30 Forest inspired designs included in the book

The designs are printed on one side of the page.

Paper is the white, medium weight, slightly rough and have perforated pages.

Spiral Binding makes it a snap to lay flat.

Most designs do not merge into the binding not cross over the perforations. There are a few that cross over and into the bound area; however, the part that would remain behind if you remove the page, does not contain anything significant to the design.

Alcohol-based markers bleed through the page. If you use this media, I suggest using a blotter page under your working page. I like card stock as it keeps ink from seeping through and damaging the pages below.

Water-based markers, gel pens and India ink pens leave shadows of color on the back of the page.

Coloring pencils work differently with this paper. I am able to get good pigment (color) lay down, layer the same color and multiple colors and blend well with a pencil style blending stick.
