Fun to read with lots of twists and turns

Stamped Out: A Mail Carrier Cozy Mystery

By: Tonya Kappes

Rating: 5 of 5

I’ve read other series by Tonya Kappes and decided to try this one as well. It is a story about a postal carrier, Bernadette Butler. Bernadette is a widow and the book starts out on the tenth anniversary of her late husband’s death.

She is still grieving though she is shocked to discover she has forgotten the actual date. She went back to delivering mail after her husband’s death and the towns people all know and love her. She also gets caught up on the gossip and hears things because others forget she is there.

The town is in an uproar because her friend Mac Tabor, is planning on re-developing the country club golf club into a neighborhood of condos. He is about to close the deal when the individual he is buying from is found dead. Since it happened close to Mac’s house, he becomes the prime suspect.

Bernadette doesn’t doubt his innocence and sets out to prove it to the local sheriff.

With a funny cast of characters, including a porch full of older, sweet but busy body ladies, the book is so much fun to read. I’m looking forward to reading the next in the series.
