This was a mile a minute cyber attack thriller. The story was pretty intense and required a little bit of suspension of reality. There was attack after attack making the US look totally unprepared for cyberwarfare. This doesn’t seem credible – I suspect that there are many areas where the US is vulnerable, but the author is making it look like it is in all areas and that, aside from a handful of heroes in the book, the country is unprepared and ill-equipped. So, suspend reality a bit as you read the book and then it becomes a fun race-to-the-end story.

Invasion of Privacy” is the first book I have read by Christopher Reich. It was a really good read and definitely makes me want to go back and read some of his previous books. It was a very suspenseful thriller – with lots of action and plot twists throughout the book. I read it in one day because, frankly, I found that I could not put it down. The book is set in the Hill Country around Austin, TX, where I lived for a number of years and it was fairly accurate in its portrayal of the area and the individuals who would call that area home.

“Crazy Mountain Kiss” is the latest book in the Sean Stranahan series by Keith McCafferty; however, it is the first book I have read by the author. I often read books in the middle of a series in order to determine if the book can be read stand-alone or if it is necessary to read the whole series in order to enjoy the book. While I think this book can be read by itself, reading the prior books may add to the understanding of the relationships between the characters. That was the main area that I had some difficulty with while reading the book.
