Great new start to a cozy mystery series

This is the first book I have read by this author as well as the first book in this new cozy mystery series.

The setting is a family-owned ice cream shop that is being taken back to its roots of hand-made ice cream. The woman responsible for this transformation is Bronwyn (Win) Crewse, who has the support for her family in getting the business back to its glory days.

On the day the shop opens, there is a snow storm. There is also a murder and Win finds the body. It turns out that the murdered man (Dead Guy), is an individual who tried to swindle the Crewse family years ago.

Solid cozy mystery with paranormal emphasis

This is the second in the Misty Dawn mystery series. While it was certainly a good mystery to read, it was not as funny as the first book in the series.

Things became more serious when it came down to the situation under which the murder took place. A murder takes place that brings many individuals under suspicion and brings Misty into the fray to try to solve it.

Misty is approached by a young woman whose extravagant engagement ring has gone missing and needs her help to locate it before the wedding day. When the same young woman is implicated in a murder, Misty feels honor bound to try to help her.
