Death Comes To Kurland Hall (A Kurland St. Mary Mystery)

I love a good cozy mystery set back in history. This story is from the Regency period in England and is the third book in the series. As I have read all three at this point, I can’t really speak for it being able to be read stand-alone but I do recommend both the series and the newest book, “Death Comes To Kurland Hall”.
The story picks up where the last book left off. Lucy Harrington (the victor’s daughter) and Sir Robert Kurland have been asked to stand up for their friends wedding. The problem is that Sir Robert has asked Lucy to marry him and she turned him down. Their relationship has never been rainbows and roses but right now, it is more abrasive than usual. But, it is for friends and they both agree. In fact, Sir Robert is to host the wedding at his country estate.
Once every one is brought together for the wedding (and thankfully after the newly wed couple is on their way), a death occurs. That it is murder is discovered shortly thereafter and no one is above suspicion.
The story takes off from there with Lucy and Sir Robert once again teaming up to solve the crime. There are twists and turns, both in the mystery and in the relationship between the two. I really enjoyed reading the book. It wasn’t too difficult to figure out the whodunnit but the charm was in the story, the dialog, and the characters as much as it was in solving the crime.
I received a digital ARC copy of this book from the publisher, Kensington, via Netgalley.
