Beautiful projects in wire weaving for intermediate and above

Woven in Wire: Dimensional Wire Weaving in Fine Art Jewelry

It wasn’t until I received the digital version of this book from the publisher that I found it was geared toward those with intermediate to advanced skills. The author, Sarah Thompson, has an earlier book which is for beginners, which is what I am. I purchased that book and am enjoying learning the process of making beautiful woven wire jewelry.

I was inspired to buy that book because of the projects in this one. I will be purchasing this book as well when I am comfortable with the results I achieve with the first book.

The book will well laid-out with lots of photographs and explanations of process. The tools and the step-by-step tasks to achieve the final look are detailed and make it easy to follow along.

I have made other types of jewelry before but have always wanted to learn wire weaving. It is a little hard on the hands but gets easier the more that I weave (muscles learning new tasks!)

For some of the projects in this book, the author/artist gives a brief explanation of other variations that can be made using much of the same materials.

I’m looking forward to both finishing the first book and then getting this book in hardcopy format (which is my preferred method for arts and crafts books) to make myself jewelry and to make as gifts for others.

I was provided a temporary digital advance reader copy of this book by the publisher via Netgalley.

Here are some sample photos of the projects in this book:
