Second book in the series is as good as the first

A Dollar Short (The Bottom Dollar Series Book 2)

adollarshortThis is the story of two sisters who were raised in Cayboo Creek. Chiffon was the beauty queen, with a mother who drug her around the pageant route. Her sister Chenille as the studious one – not quite pageant material – but pushed to be top dog in the academic contests. They have grown apart and see each other seldom though they live not too many hours away from each other.

The story opens when both women have momentous occurrences in their lives. They are both struggling to find their new identities and, due to a health issue, they are brought back together in Cayboo Creek.

As with the first book in this series, the story has series undertones but is extremely funny. The dialog is snappy, the concepts funny, and the characters are over the top. I enjoyed this second book every bit as much as the first and it was great fun to visit with the Bottom Dollar Girls once again.

I look forward to more books in this series and recommend it to anyone who wants to spend a few hours laughing their way through a good book.
