A stylish whodunnit that made me giggle, laugh and chortle

Designer Dirty Laundry: A Samantha Kidd Style & Error Mystery (Samantha Kidd Style & Error Mysteries Book 1)

I’ve previously read another series by this author which I really enjoyed. When I saw that she had written another series, I decided to chance it.

This series is about Samantha Kidd, who has just left her job as a buyer for a well-known department store in New York City. She hasn’t been happy though she has been increasing in stature and is becoming known for her sense of style.

She gets an offer for a new job back in her small hometown (small when compared to New York City, that is.) She decides to take it.

On her first day of her new job, even before she really is an employee, she finds her boss dead in an elevator. Since no one knew she had been hired, she instantly comes under suspicion.

There are lots of ups and downs and red herrings. The characters are fun and the situations Samantha finds herself in get funnier and funnier.

It seems like not a single thing can go right for Samantha. But that doesn’t seem to stop her from trying to make her new start.

I’m looking forward to reading more in this series and see what trouble this fashionable sleuth gets into and finds her way out of again.
