Lowcountry Boughs of Holly (A Liz Talbot Mystery Book 10)

By: Susan M. Boyer

Rating: 5 of 5

This is a wonderfully zany cosy mystery series. The Talbot family is Southern crazy with so many delightful characters. From Liz to her Mamma, life is pretty much a laugh a minute.

This is another pivotal book in the series, with new characters and favorite ones as well. In the last book, guardian angel, Colleen was removed from working with Liz and Nate because she intervened in human affairs. It was really sad to see her go.

In this book we see Liz and Nate working through and solving a perplexing mystery. Who killed C.C. Bounetheau? Was it because of who he was or because he was dressed like Santa? So many questions and so little time to answer them as Nate is surprising everyone in the family with a get-away Christmas and time is running short on leaving.

This is a series that I have read from book one and plan to re-read my favorites again soon. This is one of the best of a set of great books and I am looking forward to see what the future holds for Liz and crew.

I was provided a digital advance reader copy of this book by the publisher via Edelweiss.
