This is the second of three new coloring books that I have purchased by Sue Toronto. There are part of a series four to-go size coloring books (8.25 x 5.25 inches) that are being released. While some of the designs and sayings have to do with friendship, others are more general in nature but are certainly things you would say to a good friend.

I like the size of the book as it fits well in either my backpack or my hangbag. I can carry it, along with a small set of shorter coloring pencils, and have fun coloring while I am out and about.

While I am reviewing each book separately and this has no issue on my review, I want to note that there are a number of duplications between the three books that I own. As a stand-alone book, not an issue. If you buy more than more, expect duplications. I don’t mind as I simply removed my duplicates at the perforations and gave them to my daughters to color.

The coloring book includes a number of colored sample photos which you can see in my video. It also includes tips from this artist about color wheels and also provides some background on the artist herself. As usual with books by Designs Originals, there are journal lines and a quote on the backside of each design along with the title of the design itself.

Printed on one side of medium weight, slightly rough perforated white paper
Designs stop before the perforations
Glue Bound
Alcohol and water-based markers bleed through the page
India Ink pens bleed through the page
Gel pens do not bleed through
Coloring pencils work well with the paper. Soft lead pencils go on with good coverage and layer and blend well. Hard lead pencils work well but also dent the back of the page.

I recommend using a blotter page below the page you are working on to keep ink or dents from marring the design on the next page. I use card stock that I cut down but any heavy weight paper should work as well.
