Over 90 beautiful designs in a wide variety of subjects and styles – printed on both sides of page

The Art of Mindfulness: Serene and Tranquil Coloring

Rating: 5 of 5

There are over 90 beautiful designs in this coloring book. They range from a lot of flowers to birds, other animals, abstract flowing designs, as well as a number of others. I have picked up all four books in this particular line and they all have a very similar look and feel. I don’t quite understand how some are happy or serene or peaceful or calming. In any case, they are all quite pretty and should be fun to color. There are a number of artists involved with this book and it shows in the wide variety of styles.

The cover of this book is gorgeous it is a matte metallic slate blue (not the blue showing on the Amazon picture) with flowers, some of which have glossy highlighting. The book is printed on a nice quality heavyweight white paper. The paper is non-perforated and the pages are printed on both sides of the page. The binding is sewn, so removing the pages should be a matter of snipping various threads every few pages to completely remove the pages from the book. The book has rounded edges on the unbound side and is slightly smaller than a regular sheet of paper. The designs stop well before the binding; however, many of them leave elements unfinished without a frame of sorts to finish off the design. This makes it more difficult for me to color the design and have a nice finished quality to it.

Over 90 beautiful and varied designs in this beautifully bound book printed on both sides of page

The Art of Mindfulness: Relaxed and Focused Coloring

There are over 90 beautiful designs in this coloring book. They range from a lot of fish, leaves, flowers, birds, and many other subjects. I have picked up all four books in this particular line and they all have a very similar look and feel. I don’t quite understand how some are happy or serene or peaceful or calming. In any case, they are all quite pretty and should be fun to color. There are a number of artists involved with this book and it shows in the wide variety of styles.

The cover of this book is gorgeous it is a matte metallic pewter with leaves, some of which have glossy highlighting.

All of my alcohol-based markers bled through immediately. My Stabilo 88’s did, too. Only some of my Staedler triplus fineliner markers did (the darker colors.) What worked great were my Tombow dual brush markers. These did not bleed through at all. None of my gel pens had problems and my coloring pencils did well on the surface of this paper.

I like the book and the designs but the publishing of the book could have been improved in a number of ways: 1) print one side of the page only; 2) make the pages perforated for easy removal from the book, 3) if you are going to printed on both sides of the page, improve the quality of the paper so that markers can be used, and finally, my own personal nit put frames around the outside of designs that simply stop mid-element.

There are over 90 beautiful designs in this coloring book. They range from a lot of birds, flowers, butterflies, feathers, clouds, and much more. I have picked up all four books in this particular line and they all have a very similar look and feel. I don’t quite understand how some are happy or serene or peaceful or calming. In any case, they are all quite pretty and should be fun to color. There are a number of artists involved with this book and it shows in the wide variety of styles.

The cover of this book is gorgeous it is a matte metallic green with feathers, some of which have glossy highlighting. The book is printed on a nice quality heavyweight white paper. The paper is non-perforated and the pages are printed on both sides of the page. The binding is sewn, so removing the pages should be a matter of snipping various threads every few pages to completely remove the pages from the book. Extremely Intricate Coloring Book – over 100 Beautiful and Flowing Designs printed on both sides of non-perforated paper

The Art of Relaxation Coloring Book

By: Lark Crafts

Rating: 5 of 5

This is a book of over 100 very beautiful designs which include many which are elaborate and flowing. There are also a number of mandala style and paisleys, so it makes for a wonderful opportunity to use a large number of colors, if you so choose.

Many of the designs have extremely small and intricate elements, so I would recommend this to someone who likes that level of detail and has a good eye and a steady hand. This is certainly a coloring book which takes my full attention and thus gives me a relief from troubles that are on my mind. In that sense, it can be a stress-reducer but otherwise, I’m not sure how relaxed I am when I am trying to put small dots of color in various places. When details in any coloring book become too tiny, I take a broad swathe approach and color a larger portion of the area with the same color. I find it works out well for me and I am happy with the result. There are also designs which are more open and easy to color.

The book is very well bound. The cover has lovely touches of color and gold foil but still gives you an opportunity to color on the smooth surface of the front and back of the book, if you desire. The inside of the cover (front and back) has an area for coloring as well. There is an elastic band which is attached to the back of the book which can be used to hold the book together (journal style).

There are over 100 designs printed on both sides of the nice heavy weight non-perforated paper. Some of the single page designs merge into the binding but most do not. There are 18 designs which spread across two pages though most of these can be treated as single page designs, too, as the elements shared are either mirror images or not of consequence. The elements line up beautifully in my copy. The binding is sewn rather than glued, so you should consider cutting the threads rather than the pages if you decide to remove them from the book. The book has rounded edges on the unbound side and is slightly smaller than a regular sheet of paper.

All of my alcohol-based markers bled through immediately. My Stabilo 88’s left a noticeable shadow on the backside of the page. My Staedler triplus fineliner markers did so to a lesser degree. What worked great were my Tombow dual brush markers. When I used the brush end of these, they did not bleed through at all; however, the marker side did bleed through. None of my gel pens had problems and my coloring pencils did well on the surface of this paper.
